The Steinhart Ocean One 39 GMT Blue/Red ceramic on jubilee, is made to the highest of Swiss standard. The case of the Steinhart Ocean 39 is made from 316L stainless steel. Features a satin brushed finish on the top of the lugs and polished sides of the case. This finishing follows through the stainless steel bracelet. The 39mm case has a 47mm lug-to-lug dimensions making this quite comfortable on most wrist sizes.

The bezel on the Ocean 39 GMT is a classic diver design. The Ocean One 39 GMT Blue/Red has a new upgraded blue/red bezel done in ceramic which is commonly know by watch collectors as the "pepsi". The new ceramic bezel has numbers and markers that are all engraved to give it depth. The cavities are then filled in white enamel to match the theme with a luminous pip at the 12 o'clock position. The engraved bezel makes the numbers and markers visible under all lighting conditions. With a luminous pip at the 12 o'clock position. The knurling on the side of the bezel is deep and clean. This helps in getting a good grip on the bezel for easy bezel operation. The 120 clicks bezel clicks positively into position.

Two-tone Ceramic Bezel

The Steinhart signed mm screw-down crown is located at 3 O'clock and is good for a water resistant rating of 300m. The Ocean 1 comes with a sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating for added clarity under different lighting conditions. It also has a date magnifier. The dial on the Ocean 39 GMT is black with applied markers. SuperLuminova luminous is applied to the markers, minute, hour and second hands.

The Steinhart Ocean One 39 GMT Blue/Red Ceramic - Jubilee Bracelet comes with a satin brushed jubilee stainless steel bracelet with screw links and fliplock. Unique to the Ocean One 39 is of couse the new 20mm bracelet which tapers to 16mm. Makes the 39mm model look much more refined and elegant.


Overall, the Steinhart Ocean One 39 GMT Blue/Red Ceramic exhibits very great value. And is suitable for those who thinks the 42mm Oceans are too big. The smaller size also makes this watch comfortable even on smaller ladies' wrist. For the price, you get a Swiss Made watch with an SW330-2 Elaboré movement, a full 316L stainless steel 300m diver watch with jubilee bracelet and an overall well finished sturdy watch. This was before not achievable until Steinhart arrived and also probably the reason why Steinhart has quite a huge following although only been around for only 15 years.
