At first glance, the 1521 Militare flaunts its quintessential Von Buren dive watch design with a 42mm case diameter and 48mm lug to lug dimension. However, upon close scrutiny, this exquisite timepiece features an extraordinary matte white dial. Its black hour and minute hands offer a stark contrast against its dial, allowing for greater legibility. Additionally, its markers and hands are painted in black, as the Militaire is also characterized by the use of Superluminova BGW9 on the dial for maximum legibility in deep water.

Kept slim at 12.5mm, its 500m water-resistant case is forged with 316L stainless-steel. This signature Squale case design has a brilliant polish finishing that reflects the original vintage look of this timepiece. The result is a bracelet that appears to be a seamless extension of the case. The design of the bracelet was inspired by the famed bracelets of the 60s, which wrapped the wrist comfortably due to their light weight. The aim is to maintain the same lightness and comfort even with full and robust steel links, supported by screw pins to provide easy and safe adjustment. Lastly, it features a double closure buckle to prevent accidental impacts from opening it. Additionally, the buckle comes with a diving extension specifically designed to be worn with a wetsuit.
