At this year's Geneva Watch Days, Squale proudly unveils the Matic-S Light Blue, marking the next chapter in the evolution of this legendary line. Drawing on decades of expertise in crafting professional dive instruments, the Matic-S strikes a refined balance between technical performance, modern versatility, and contemporary aesthetics. True to Squale's enduring philosophy, it delivers uncompromising robustness while embracing a timeless sense of elegance.

Faithful to Squale's uncompromising diving heritage, the Matic S reimagines the signature strength of the Matic line in a slimmer, more versatile form. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case showcases a harmonious mix of symmetrical brushing and polished accents. Its dimensions have been thoughtfully refined, with the diameter reduced from 44mm to a wearable 39.5mm, paired with a 47mm lug-to-lug length and a thickness of 12.6mm—bringing professional-grade performance into a compact profile.

For enhanced symmetry and a cleaner aesthetic, the screw-down crown now sits at 3 o'clock, while the solid screw-in caseback secures an impressive 600 meters of water resistance, affirming its status as a true professional dive instrument. Completing the look is a unidirectional steel bezel insert in light blue, with the triangular pip at 12 generously coated in Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in all conditions.

The 37.8mm case balances function and everyday wear.

The real star here is the white dial. Rather than a standard flat finish, the wave pattern gives the surface a tangible sense of depth, turning the dial into a sculpted piece of art rather than just a simple backdrop. This extra dimension creates the perfect stage for the updated markers and those high-contrast orange accents on the rehaut and minute hand to really pop against the white. For low-light visibility, Super-LumiNova is applied generously to both the hands and indices, while a clean date window at 3 o'clock keeps things practical for the daily grind. Tying everything together is the new Matic S logo—a subtle nod to the fact that Squale is successfully evolving its classic dive DNA into much more detailed, modern territory.

This time around, the Matic S comes paired with a whole new 19mm stainless steel bracelet that flows perfectly from the case. The finish is mostly brushed to keep that classic tool-watch character, but you'll notice subtle polished surfaces that catch the light just right. It all wraps up with a nice signed clasp, adding a final touch of branding and a secure, quality feel to the entire setup.

Super-LumiNova glows in the dark

At the heart of the Matic S beats the Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré Grade automatic movement, a workhorse renowned for its reliability and precision. Equipped with 26 jewels and running at a frequency of 28,800 bph (4Hz), it delivers smooth, consistent timekeeping, while its 42-hour power reserve ensures the watch remains ready for any adventure. This robust movement perfectly complements the Matic-S's professional dive credentials, combining mechanical excellence with everyday practicality.
