Time and tide wait for no man, but time always stands still for everlasting creation marvel. Here is a true story for us watch enthusiasts; 60 years gone by, the Squale Master Divers of the 60s stayed in their collection until now, all in slightly different variations while retaining the indispensable case/ bezel look with crazy water-resistant above the usual 200m. Squale through the recent years elaborated the dive watch from the traditional 50 Atmos polished ones to the up-sized 44m, 600m ref. 6045 series. Well, this year, Squale have up their ante with a crisp decision with their latest novelty. Behold, the Squale T-183 Forged Carbon Yellow.

Before we get to the main topic, we all need to know carbon as a material that has a natural association with the high-end spectrum in automotive and luxury watches realms. It has an exotic look, appearing in a certain smooth sheen that clad strong-resistant like stainless steel while being light like titanium material. Therefore, the new Squale T-183 Carbon Yellow is aesthetically fascinating.
The striped-looking case has a modest size of 42mm wide, 49mm lug to lug, and finally, 15.5mm thick. With a certain height to it, the case's aesthetic captures one's complete attention as if by magic with its composition of alternating layers of black carbon fiber and yellow fiberglass. To manufacture carbon material and further in this format is all done painstakingly, but Squale made it happen. The cool factor does not stop there. Its steel bezel, screw-in case-back, and crown get the DLC treatment in full-black to keep with the sleek look. Oh, by the way, the blackout engraved ceramic bezel fitted here is the first time doing so on the Squale Master case. The unidirectional bezel is tight and clicks positively. With the overall blackout bezel, it highlights and complements the beauty of the case while keeping the water-resistance up to 600m.

Onto the matte black dial underneath the flat sapphire crystal. The applied markers painted with yellow-colored markers are compeer to its case and glows in the dark, which is refreshing to watch. Further, a new set of hands complies with the same matching Super-luminova color with its marker, where the hour and minute hands are done so in a "ladder" format, finishing up with an arrow-shaped second hand. The only usual suspects keep things the "Squale" way by having its emblem double-signed on the top and bottom of the dial, with matching date-wheel displayed at the 3 o'clock position.
Powering the T183 is a Sellita SW200 automatic in Elaboré grade. Merelya quick note: the 25.6mm movement has 26 jewels count that beats at 28800bph (4Hz), allowing quick date and time setting with a power reserve of around 38 hours.

The T183 comes with a matching Italian-made black micro-fiber strap with yellow side lining. The strap material is innovative water and wear-resistant kind with exciting texture on its surface that seems all so fitting.
In all, The Squale T183 looks darn cool, and they have done a great job of producing an innovative carbon addition to their all-time classic line. The layered carbon fiber with a yellow glass fiber case appears and feels fantastic when held upon. That said, the T183 is executed nicely at an incredible price point and a great addition to their classic line of vintage-inspired divers.
