When we think German, we think precision engineering and quality. And this is precisely what we have here today from Aristo. Aristo was founded in 1907 by Julius Epple in Pforzheim, jewelry and watchmaking city in the black forest, Germany. The company has been producing timepieces for the last three generations. Today, we would like to introduced Aristo’s take on the traditional railway timing instrument design.
Aristo Station 3H191M - Sapphire |
The Aristo Station 3H191M- Sapphire is powered by a Swiss Made ETA automatic caliber, ETA2824-2, operating at 28,800 BPH (4 Hertz) with hacking and hand winding capabilities. It has 25 jewels with a power reserve of 40 hours.
The Aristo Station is inspired by watches issued to railway stations that have provided time-reading for the railroad industry since the 1940s. And that means it is designed with legibility in mind, being a requirement back then.
The dial is kept simple with a white background. It is accompanied by having black, block-shaped hand hour and minute indicators, accompanied along with a red seconds hand tipped with a hollow circle.
Sandblasted 316L Stainless steel case |
Onto the case, the Station watch has a 39mm case and small thickness of only 10mm. It features a full sandblasted bezel and case along with arched lugs, giving it a utilitarian watch vibe. While it showcases a more traditional form, Aristo decides to bring in some modern element by having an opened case back for the wearer to admire the Swiss Made ETA2824-2 automatic at work.
Like all Aristo watch, the Aristo Station 3H191M- Sapphire made especially for Gnomon Watches with a flat sapphire crystal.
To complete the whole tool watch looks, Aristo has paired this watch up with a Milanese mesh bracelet which is a vintage touch with classic watch style back then.
