From a remarkable brand renowned for its excellence in German watchmaking, Damasko continues to push the boundaries of tool watch engineering. Known for their overbuilt specifications and cutting-edge technology, these timepieces are truly built like a tank. This time, Damasko introduces the latest DK44, part of the new DK4X line, offering a more utilitarian edge paired with a sleek and modern aesthetic.
Building on the foundation laid by the DK36 and its familiar crosshair dial, the DK44 takes things further with a bidirectional rotating bezel and a robust in-house A26-3 automatic movement featuring day and date functionality. It is a bold leap forward that shows Damasko is not just refining but redefining what a modern pilot's tool watch can be.

Damasko DK44 |
The case of the Damasko DK44 is crafted entirely in-house by Damasko and made from their proprietary ice-hardened stainless steel. Recognized as one of the toughest materials in the watch industry, this steel undergoes a cryogenic treatment that significantly increases its hardness and durability. Also referred to as "nickel-free stainless steel," it offers superior resistance to corrosion and wear—an ideal material for a robust, functional, and high-quality tool watch.
The durable case of the DK44 offers a water resistance rating of 100m, complemented by a screw-down crown with crown protection engineered according to the Damasko System, making it ideal for everyday wear. With a well-balanced diameter of 40mm, a lug-to-lug length of 48.6mm, and an impressively slim profile of just 12.3mm, the watch wears exceptionally well on the wrist. Its curved lugs further enhance the comfort, creating a seamless and refined fit.

German Precision |
Borrowing a familiar element from the DSub collection, the DK44 is equipped with a bidirectional rotating bezel made from hardened steel. It features a 12-hour scale for added functionality, accented by a subtle pop of red at the bezel pip for quick reference and visual flair. The bezel's side design provides a comfortable and secure grip, making adjustments effortless even in demanding conditions.
Under the flat sapphire crystal, the DK44 ensures maximum readability in any lighting condition. Encircling the dial is a matte black surface featuring a distinctive white crosshair design, a signature Damasko element, now paired with a refreshed and thoughtfully arranged marker layout. At 3 o'clock, the date and bilingual weekday display, available in English and German, add everyday practicality while maintaining the dial's overall symmetry and balance.

Curved lugs for added comfort |
The Damasko DK44 introduces a refreshed, sleek dial design while preserving the brand's unmistakable essence. It features printed rectangular white hour markers, with a sharp double marker at 12 o'clock highlighted in red for instant orientation. Both the indices and the sword-shaped hour and minute hands are treated with long-lasting luminous paint, ensuring exceptional legibility in low light. The red-painted seconds hand adds a bold touch of contrast. A precise minute scale circles the dial along the same ring as the hour markers, adding depth and structure to the layout. Paired with a robust stainless steel case, the matte black dial creates a striking yet understated contrast, perfectly balancing form and function.
Powering the DK44 is Damasko's in-house calibre A26-3, a German-made automatic movement featuring a silicon escape wheel. This 20-jewel movement offers a power reserve of 42 hours and beats at a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Engineered for reliability, it is certified shockproof and anti-magnetic according to DIN 8308 and 8309 standards set by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (German Institute for Standardization). Adjusted in six positions for exceptional accuracy, this latest in-house calibre reflects Damasko's commitment to precision and technical excellence.

It is secured with a sturdy Damasko-signed pin buckle, ensuring a comfortable and reliable fit. For those who enjoy switching up their look, the DK44 features drilled-through lugs, allowing for easy and hassle-free strap changes.
As Damasko continues to push boundaries and craft masterpieces that resonate with the watch community, the brand reaches new heights. A true embodiment of German precision engineering, Damasko delivers a complete package that combines a rugged, tool watch exterior with a powerful in-house movement. The Damasko DK44, part of the new DK4X collection, stands out with its sleek matte black dial, hardened steel case and bezel, and meticulously engineered details designed for durability and function.
