A remarkable name in German watchmaking, Damasko is renowned for its uncompromising engineering and boundary-pushing technology, crafting timepieces with overbuilt, tank-like robustness. These very qualities define the new DF10 Field Watch. Drawing inspiration from historic military field watches, Damasko has reinterpreted the classic template with modern precision, retaining the functional clarity of its predecessors while elevating the design with contemporary refinement and technical integrity.
The case of the Damasko DF10 is produced entirely in-house and utilise Damasko's Deutscher U-Boat-Stahl, or German Submarine Steel. This high-strength alloy—used extensively in German submarines and naval vessels—is renowned for its exceptional resilience. Damasko further elevates the material through a specialised bead-blasting and edge-hardening process, giving the case remarkable scratch and corrosion resistance. The result is a robust, finely engineered exterior built to endure the harshest conditions with unwavering reliability.

Another unique characteristic of the submarine steel has to be the color of the steel. The dark titanium grey color gives the watch a utilitarian, no-nonsense attitude while balancing with its classic case size and sterile-like dial. Despite not being a dive watch, this phenomenal case of the DF10 achieves a substantial water resistance rating of 200m. With a tasteful diameter of 39mm, a lug to lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 9.95mm, the watch rests extremely comfortably on the wrist, especially with its pleasing curved lugs design.
Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating, ensuring crystal-clear legibility under any lighting condition. The DF10 features a clean black dial adorned with applied indices. The 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock markers are coated in vintage-inspired X1 C1 Old Radium luminous paint, while the remaining hours are marked by crisp numerals. The hands—including the tip of the seconds hand—are treated with the same Old Radium lume for excellent low-light visibility. Framing the dial is a silver track that separates the main face from a white minute rehaut, which features sharp black markers. Together, the deep black dial, warm faux-patina lume, and robust stainless steel case create a striking, purposeful design.

The DF10 continues Damasko's commitment to true in-house engineering, powered by the German-made Damasko Calibre A26-1. This 20-jewel automatic movement delivers a 42-hour power reserve and operates at a high beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, ensuring stable and precise timekeeping. Built for resilience, the A26-1 is both shockproof and anti-magnetic, meeting the stringent DIN 8308 and 8309 standards set by the Deutsches Institut für Normung. Damasko further enhances accuracy by adjusting each movement in six positions. Completing the construction, a robust screw-in case back protects the movement within, reflecting the brand's unwavering dedication to durability and mechanical integrity.
The DF10 comes paired with a 20mm vintage brown leather strap, secured by a robust stainless steel pin buckle that ensures a comfortable, reliable fit on the wrist. For collectors who love personalizing their timepieces, the case is thoughtfully designed with drilled-through lugs. This enthusiast-favorite feature makes strap changes quick and effortless, requiring nothing more than a simple spring-bar tool to completely transform the look of the watch.
