Created by Henry Louis Belmont, a graduate from the National Watchmaking School of Besancon, YEMA was founded in 1948 and has been producing fine quality watches since. Along with some household names in the field of watchmaking, YEMA has concentrated on producing mostly emblematic and mechanical timepieces, including sports divers for pilots, racing drivers and underwater divers. Its repertoire includes reviving the YEMA Superman, commonly touted as France's legendary dive watch.
Introduced in 1963, the Superman took the dive watch community by storm with its outstanding 300m water-resistance and idiosyncratic bezel-lock device. Today, we are proud to introduce a truly special evolution of this classic. The Yema Superman Titanium MoonTide CMM 11 Limited Edition represents a bold step forward, powered by the acclaimed Calibre Manufacture Morteau. This in house movement, developed by YEMA in the heart of Morteau, serves as a testament to the brand's commitment to technical mastery and independent watchmaking.

Watch enthusiasts can rejoice that the design of the YEMA Superman Titanium MoonTide adheres to the trademark shape of the Superman. The thin, extended "skin diver" shape, crown and locking device, sapphire bezel and elevated crystal have all remained in this latest rendition of the Superman. The pointy lugs with holes, as well as sharp crown guards, have too been preserved to contribute to the retro vibes of this timepiece.
The new Yema Superman Titanium Moontide represents a significant evolution for this iconic dive watch. What sets it apart is the material choice, as the entire case and bracelet are now crafted from Grade 2 titanium. This shift offers an exceptional balance of lightness, resilience, and daily comfort. Known for its outstanding corrosion resistance and natural durability, this high quality titanium performs reliably in demanding environments while remaining fully hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin.

| Historic Superman edition |
For those of us who appreciate precise proportions, this release hits a sweet spot. The watch measures a comfortable 38.5mm in diameter, an impressively thin 11.3mm in height, and maintains a versatile 47mm lug to lug distance. It is a true diver at heart, featuring a ceramic unidirectional bezel and a screw down crown that provides a capable 300m of water resistance. It is a thoughtful update that keeps the spirit of the Superman alive while embracing the technical benefits of modern metallurgy.
Protected by a double domed sapphire crystal, the dial is a masterclass in lunar inspired artistry. Crafted through an intricate oil press technique over a sandblasted base, the surface reveals a subtle, cratered relief that captures light with the ethereal glow of moonlight reflecting over the sea. This striking texture is accented by sharp, applied hour markers and brushed IP black plated hands that create a dramatic contrast. For legibility in the deepest shadows, the hands, markers, and bezel pip are finished with Grade A Super LumiNova BGW9, emitting a powerful, deep blue luminescence. At 6 o'clock, a perfectly integrated date window anchors the dial, ensuring the symmetry remains as balanced as it is captivating.

Beyond the exterior, Yema has continued their impressive evolution by integrating their own in-house Caliber CMM 11. This mechanical heart is engineered for excellence, featuring a self winding movement with a ball bearing rotor that beats at a steady 4 Hertz. With a robust 70 hour power reserve and 27 jewels, it offers both precision and reliable endurance. Through the exhibition caseback, you can admire the intricate craftsmanship of the movement, which is finished with an engraving of your unique limited edition number, serving as a personal mark of this milestone release.
Crafted entirely from lightweight Grade 2 titanium, the iconic 1960s YEMA Scales bracelet has been thoughtfully refined. With a 0.40 mm reduction in thickness and a graceful taper from the buckle, it is designed to conform naturally to the wrist for effortless daily comfort. The fully brushed finish ensures a seamless visual continuity with the titanium case, creating a sophisticated and unified aesthetic. For added versatility, the double security folding clasp includes an integrated dive extension, allowing for quick and precise adjustments when wearing the watch over a diving suit.
