Lifting the grey
There are a number of evergreen designs in the Oris collection. One of them is the Divers Sixty-Five, a retro piece that’s descended from our first diver’s watch, created in 1965. The next iteration of the timeless form is this piece with a grey gradient dial, which stands out because of the high-contrast turquoise lume applied to the watch’s hands, hour markers and triangle dot at 12 o’clock. This glows a bright turquoise green in low light conditions such as those found underwater, but even in daylight, the contrasts in the materials and colours give extraordinary clarity to the dial. Beyond these distinctive elements, the model is the familiar, reliable 40mm stainless steel Divers Sixty-Five. In place are its uni-directional rotating bezel, screw-in security crown and water resistance to 10 bar (100 metres). The movement is a Swiss Made automatic mechanical, and it comes on a black leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.
