The Ocean Star Tribute sized for modern tastes at a 36.5mm diameter case with a lug-to-lug length of 42.99mm. The new Ocean Star in unisex size combines diver's watch codes with a refined look. The unidirectional rotating bezel, fitted with a domed black mineral crystal ring with white markings, can be used to measure elapsed time during a dive. The finely sunray-finished black dial reflects the light at great depths while baton markers surrounded by metal mark the hours. The flat diamond-cut hour, minute and seconds hands skim across this mesmerising backdrop. They are subtly finished with powerful white Super-LumiNova® to ensure they remain readable even in the dark.

 At 6 o'clock also appears the date display, balancing the symmetry of the dial. On the other side, the case-back has a beautiful surprise in store- decorated with a polished starfish in relief, the historical symbol of the Ocean Star. The cutting-edge Ocean 36.5 remains completely reliable up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m/660 ft).

Caliber 80 based on the ETA C07.611

Underneath belies the caliber 80 of MIDO based on the ETA C07.611 with a full 80-hour power reserve. The Caliber 80 is considered in-house as MIDO is part of the Swatch group family, and the modified ETA C07.611 features a Nivachoc balance spring with its frequency reduced to 21,600 Hz for and an improved mainspring capacity. The caliber 80 inside the Ocean Star makes it so value-driven as it hoods one of the highest-quality movements today at an exceptional price point.

Finally, the sports metal bracelet made of steel with the same impeccable finishing, give the Ocean Star the superb versatile look that was responsible for the success of the original models. The signed clasp features a diver extension that allows one to adjust with ease.
