Mido initially drew its inspiration for the Multifort collection from the architecture of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. However, this new Multifort breathes new ethos within the contemporary Harbour Bridge, as the watch still draws elements from yesteryears. Offering the perfect combination of style and substance, function and aesthetics, Mido celebrates this ultra-resistant, newly visioned monument with some instantly recognizable design features. But this collection's robustness and exceptional longevity, which has been in production for the past 85 years, also define the Multifort as a creation that has stood the test of time.
Introducing a whole new dimension with a 35mm diameter, 41mm lugs to lugs, incredibly 9.3mm think and 18mm lug width stainless steel case, the Multifort TV brilliantly weathers the passage of time. Introducing a smaller sizing, this watch is made with the intention to smaller wrist sizes, bound to look good on any women's wrist. Its polished oblong case and bezel contrast with its satin-finished top surface and sides for an added touch of refinement. The refined fixed bezel further clads a luminous pip at 12'o clock only to add more sportiness to its overall design. The case reminds one of those vintage "TV" shaped watches from the seventies, which bestowed lifestyle and fun elements into our relatively sober horology industry. This all-new Multifort scores highly while bringing a modern touch in a more wearable sizing for most wrists.

Perfect for both daily life and adrenaline-fuelled adventures, the Multifort displays beneficial information, including the significant date complication at the top. The flat sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, provides a clear view of the fume blue patterned dial. The smokey effect, where the colour gets darker towards the periphery, adds a certain depth for its wearer to admire. The hour and minute hands and the painted hour plots present captivating surface contrasts. The vertical texture further accentuates the dial's appearance in a darker or lighter depth, depending on the light. Topping off the dial lies the additional minute rehaut that lends a sporty vibe balanced with its otherwise elegant dial. Lastly, white Super-LumiNova ensures easy readability in the dark - essential for whatever the circumstances.
Pack within the 100m water-resistant Multifort is the calibre 72 of Mido. It is based on the ETA A31.111 movement. It has 21 jewels, a Nivachoc balance spring with its frequency reduced to 21,600 Hz and an improved mainspring capacity which has 72 hours of power reserve. Put the watch down on a Friday evening and it will still be running by Monday morning when you put it on again to head to the office. The time and date adjustment can be easily adjusted through its screw-down crown, flanked by crown protectors on each side.
