Mido Multifort Chronometer 1 Blue Ref. M038.431.11.041.00 |
Defying time
Mido draws its inspiration for the Multifort collection from the architecture of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Multifort and the Harbour Bridge are contemporaries, as both created in the 1930s. Offering the perfect combination of style and substance, function, and aesthetics, Mido celebrates this ultra-resistant, enduring monument with its instantly recognizable design features. The Multifort characteristic Geneva stripes on the dial recall the suspension cables on the Bridge. But the robustness and exceptional longevity of this collection, which has been in production for the past 85 years, also define the Multifort as a creation that has stood the test of time.
Thanks to its 42 mm-diameter stainless steel case, the Multifort Chronometer brilliantly weathers the passage of time. Its polished horns and bezel contrast with its satin-finished sides for an added touch of refinement. The domed sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, provides a clear view of the dial. Perfect for both daily life and adrenaline-fuelled adventures, the Multifort Chronometer displays particularly useful information, including the day of the week and the date in an aperture at 3 o’clock. The hour and minute hands and the indexes worked on three sides present captivating surface contrasts. The various curves of the Geneva stripes mean that the dial appears darker or lighter depending on the light. Lastly, white Super-LumiNova ensures easy readability in the dark - essential for facing the urban jungle, whatever the circumstances.
