In the early 1910s, the Japanese watch manufacturer debuted its first mechanical watch. In continuation of its development, Seiko has launched its automatic caliber in the 1950s, along with its marvel, which is the creation of its shock absorbing system for the movement; known as the "Diashock" system.

Seiko has gone through a decade of refining and developing its mechanical watchmaking skills. These had led to the creation of Seiko's all-mechanical collection; the Presage.

Introducing the newest addition to the series, the HCB007J brings a whole new colour tone and an open heart dial layout that reveals the mechanical movement within, seamlessly merging traditional landscape design with modern horological artistry.

An open heart dial layout that reveals the mechanical movement

With a versatile 41.8mm diameter, a 12.0mm profile height, and a tight 48.3mm lug to lug length, the Presage sits comfortably flat, offering superb daily wearability across all wrist sizes. Crafted in stainless steel with a complete rose gold coloured PVD coating, the case is beautifully polished, giving a completely unique and luxurious presence to the whole silhouette while housing the delicate dial inside. Complete with a practical push pull crown at the 3 o'clock position, the watch provides a practical 30m water resistance rating for daily confidence.

It translates the contemplative essence of a zen garden onto the wrist, complete with deep relief detailing that imitates raked sand and water ripples. Light plays across these pressed furrows, generating pronounced depth across two distinct layout zones. A dividing line extending between the 11:30 and 6:30 positions separates a structured sand pattern on the right from a fan shaped opening on the left. This open heart cutout exposes the escapement in motion, inviting the wearer to observe the mechanical heart of the watch from a serene fixed viewpoint.

Beautifully polished case with rose gold pvd coating

Underneath the dual curved sapphire crystal lie rose gold roman numerals applied directly onto the dial surface alongside elegant leaf shaped hands. Polished facets along the hour markers and hands catch ambient light effortlessly, harmonizing with the warm tones of the rose gold case and the deep green background.
